Show Your Spirit!

Husky Football game days bring a certain excitement to the neighborhood. We see lots of fans walking by the store decked out in purple and gold. Moms, dads, kids even the dog have Husky colors on. Now even the littlest members of the family can be appropriately decked out with our new Collegiate Binky Babies. These adorable pacifier holders come in purple and gold for Husky fans and crimson for Cougar fans. We only received a few of each school's colors, so if you want one in time for the November 24th Apple Cup, hurry in!

Although we see the crowds in the neighborhood on game days, we're usually working when the event is going on. I happened to drive by Husky Stadium last night at about 7:30 and it was so fun to see it FILLED with screaming fans!

I'm in the process of moving and have to cut out early today to go pick up the keys to my new apartment. Earlier this year, I made a decision to simplily my life. I sold my condo and a lot of my furniture and went through boxes of stuff I had been carting around the country each time I've moved. As I get older, I find that I want to spend more time experiencing life, meeting new people and hanging out with my friends and family than takeing care of "stuff". It was sure a difficult decision to make, but I've felt quite liberated and happy ever since!

Tokyo Love!

We have been working on our Tarina Tarantino holiday order......oh the agony of having to say no to anything by TT!!!! Her holiday collection is AMAZING......in addition to the fabulous Tokyo Hardcore collection (which we have a few pieces of already), she has designed a Gothic Lolita collection!!!! The collection features skulls, black lace, and skeleton keys to appeal to your dark Gothic side......and pink & white bows, lace, cameos, and Fleur-De-Lis to appeal to your sweet, Lolita side. We will let you know when we start receiving that collection.

To satisfy your craving for new fall TT pieces in the meantime, as I mentioned earlier we have a few new pieces from the Tokyo Hardcorecollection. This collection is bright and beautiful......lots of neons and gold, silver and crystal goodies! Neon accents were ubiquitous on the Fall '07 runways.....such a fun way to brighten up your dark fall wardrobe!

Saints & Sinners

I've had quite the night life this week! I think I've mentioned that my son, Josh, is a musician in Seattle and actually has 4 different bands that he plays in. So on Monday night his main band Change Versus Comfort played a gig at the High Dive in Freemont. I always love the bouncers who still card me - I'm sure they have orders to card everyone, but it still makes me feel good! Last night two of the other bands he's in played at Fuel in Pioneer Square. These gigs don't start until usually 9:30, so I've been a little bleary eyed in the mornings this week. No complaints though, I wouldn't trade all the sleep in the world for a chance to listen to the bands and hang out with all these "kids" I've watched grow up.

Are you a Saint or a Sinner? If you're like me, it all depends on your mood! These necklaces arrived today and will help you let everyone know exactly how you're feeling! The Saint necklace has tiny little pearls adorning the chain - cute, fun, flirty. The Sinner has deep red roses to match that perfect red lipstick you've been saving for a night on the town.

So you're all dressed up and ready to go, but don't forget a little something for the guy in your life. We received a great new shipment of cufflinks today. These Sex With A Twist beauties will let em know what you're really thinking (you probably sould be wearing that Sinner necklace when you give these)!

We had mini Curtsy Girl Hunter helping us in the store this morning. She's the Captain's niece and we love her dearly! She helped me check in an order, unpacking the items, breaking down the boxes and entering everything into the computer. One of the items she unpacked was the awesome Multiple Choice Correspondence Book. The Fill in the Blank Greetings are sorted by categories such as Thanks, Staying in Touch, Congratulations, Regrets, Complaints, Termination,, Love and Et Cetera. Helps you stay in touch with a bit of humor and not a big time commitment!

The next box I unpacked had these uber cool beverage bottles. Sure to attract the attention of the hikers on the Burke Gilman, or wherever. Hook one of these bad boys onto your belt or pack and see what happens :)!

During the past several weeks the universe has thrown some huge curve balls at me and I've had some difficult things to go through in my personal life. When life tries to knock me down, I've learned to find some type of positive out of even the worst situations. These past several weeks have served as reminders that I have incredibly wonderful family and friends who can help me get through whatever is put in my path. And that, makes me the richest woman in town!

Prize Possessions

So sorry! Yesterday I was so busy cleaning up the aftermath of Curtsy Mama being alone at the store for a few days that I never got around to doing the blog! Tee hee...just giving my Mama a hard time ;-) We make a great team and are both good at what we do.....she does all the smart stuff at Curtsyland and I do all the creative......but struggle when we have to survive alone!!

The Captain just got back in town after being away for Army for a few weeks. On Sunday, we drove up to Leavenworth for the day. We had lots of fun! We did a few wine tastings, got old-time Bavarian photos taken, and found a very authentic German restaurant for dinner. I was wearing one of our Jessica Grindstaff prize ribbons and got compliments everywhere we went!! I have an out of control obsession with prize ribbons right now. It all started when we discovered Jessica Grindstaff ribbons and knew we had to have them for the store! They are satin ribbons that come in lots of gorgeous colors and three sizes. Each has an unexpected medallion in the center.....a skull and crossbones, cobra, swan, tiger, an anchor among others. They are unique and unusual and elicit great conversations!

We just received some new prize ribbons as well! There are some that are pink and black with jeweled crowns in the center, and on the tail is printed Queen, Tres Magnifique, or Bohemian. There is a ribbon for the Bride-to-be that is cream and blue with a jeweled Cinderella carriage in the middle and says Happily Ever After. We also got Halloween ones that are orange and black with jeweled skulls that say Trick-or-Treat or Bohemian.

Anyways.....guess what I found as a souvenir from Leavenworth for Curtsy Mama and the oh-so-stinky Curtsy Dog?? A Doggie Fart Extinguisher!!!! Our adorable Curtsy Dog is an old guy who has a not-so-adorable old guy gas problem (Snickers will actually be 12 years old on October 13th!) I think we need to start carrying these extinguishers in the store just so we will never be without one again....

Up For Air!

I've been kept hoppin today! Lot of customers and lots of UPS. I absolutely love days like this where I barely have time to breath! It's Danielle's day off, and I have to admit, right now the back room looks like a tornado has hit it (shhhhh! don't tell her!)

I know it's hard to tell from the picture, but we got the niftiest little leather bound books in today. The one that is shown here is a copy of the United States Constitution. What a cool gift!! We also received Cities of Europe. This pocket size guide contains not only maps of major European Cities, but embassy phone numbers, dialing codes, clothing size equivalents, time differences, weights and measures and air distances along with blank pages for jotting down the special cafe you want to remember. We also received several other books/journals from this line - great stuff!!

For those of you who don't know, Danielle does all of the merchandising in the store. She's a genius at it and I'm completely clueless when it comes to even replacing things I've sold - they just never look right. So, it's always a challenge for her on Tuesday's re-doing all the displays that I've messed up on her day off. I'd better end this so I can at least clean up the back room a little!

Through the Boxes...

After a week of getting buried by UPS, we are finally making some headway on the stack of boxes in the backroom. We have received in the new Kokeshi Bead Waterfall Necklace by Tarina Tarantino. Part of the Tokyo Hardcore Collection, this dramatic necklace features hanging pendants with handpainted porcelain beads resembling traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls along with silver and gold beads and an "I Love You" cameo charm. So Tarina, so cool!

I went to the 5th Ave Theater last night to see the new musical Lone Star Love. They explained at the beginning of the performance that it's debuting in Seattle prior to heading to Broadway. Each night they carefully watch audience reactions to the show. They also invite all in attendance to send in e-mail comments. They then make revisions based on the reactions and e-mails received. Audience members who want to see the progression of the show can attend again for $20 along with their ticket stub(space premitting). It was the absolutely perfect antidote to the stressful week at CB. A lot of laughs and some great music - Yee Haw!!!

Things are Looking Up

Today is Friday and the end of a tough week, but the weekend is here and things are lookin up! The computer is back on line, but we're still printing labels by hand - can we say writer's cramp?.

We finally received the rest of our Halloween goodies, so Danielle's been busy re-arranging the store. We think this Be-Witched Lantern is just so spooky looking. The lantern comes with a small electric bulb included, or you can remove the bulb and use a tea light. We also have a great selection of glittery Halloween signs that will help put everyone in the holiday spirit!

We've been approached by the folks at Mommy Mixer to hold one of their events in the store at the end of October. This cool service holds mixers to introduce families with children to local college students looking for some babysitting jobs. The mixer is scheduled to be on October 25th from 7 - 9PM. Check out their website at www.mommymixer.com for further information.

Little Black Cloud

Please send happy, sugary, glittery thoughts toward Curtsyland ASAP!!!! Today was just stupid. Everything went wrong!! We just kept receiving bad news all day.....along with boxes. Boxes and boxes and boxes of holiday goodness that we haven't even been able to peek at because of our stupid computer problems!!!! Our back room is piled to the ceiling - we are way behind as we have been trying to check in orders sans computer and label printer. Handwriting price stickers is probably my absolute least favorite activity........ever. It gives me flashbacks of the store I grew up working at, where everything was done by hand...inventory, sales slips, price stickers, etc. If I could just find that enthusiasm I used to have when I would happily take on the task on writing 250 $1.25 price stickers with a ten number inventory code on a 1/4" x 1/2" label....

Today reminded me about a book I loved when I was growing up.....Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. I love children's books.....I think because I love children's imaginations. We just received a few new lines that have wonderful items for the never-ending curiosity of little ones. A few favorites that we have in now are the sketchbook and pencil sets, the memory games, magnetic fashion dolls, and the cutest mailbox treasure hunt party game! Too cute!!!!

Tables, Labels and Snickers

I don't have a lot of free time, but I recently made the decision that I wanted to start doing a little volunteering on my day off. I was always very involved in the schools when my kids were young and I miss the interaction with little kids. It seems like when you are ready to commit to something, the opportunity just presents itself. We were recently approached to donate for a fund raiser for the Denise Louie Education Center. Turns out they are always in need of volunteers, so I signed up and yesterday was my first day. Little kids are just so silly, you can't help but leave there feeling good!

Danielle was so happy this afternoon, as some new display tables she has been anxiously awaiting arrived. The tables were shipped by truck and arrived with some other items we had ordered. Everything came from this company in boxes on a pallet. The trucker walked in and wanted to know where our loading door was so he could just bring in the entire pallet. Suffice if to say he was not amused when we pointed to the front (and our only) door. We hustled around this afternoon and got all the boxes unpacked - even Snickers the Curtsy Dog got in on the action. I wish I could say he helped, but in actuality, all he did was to stand around and fart (did I really just say that?). He's old, what can I say.....

The computer is coming back tomorrow. Kimber called this afternoon and let me know that he had been able to salvage most of my data - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU KIMBER!!!!! YOU ARE THE COMPUTER GOD!!! We have been having to hand write all of our price stickers this week, which has really slowed down the process. We will definitely be doing the happy dance tomorrow when we can once again use our label printer!

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

We love Curtsyland to be filled with humorous items. I am watching the evening news right now and am giggling over the acronym for the South Lake Union Train that is causing some controversy. People are printing shirts, etc encouraging you to ride the S.L.U.T....tee hee! It made me think of the acronym printed on the first page of our Any Bitch Can Cook cookbook......Babe In Total Control of Herself!

Another very funny recent addition in the store is Let's Paint the 90's activity book!! This dope book includes puzzles, activities, pictures to paint, and more on all things fly from the 90's (i.e. Baywatch, 90210, Milli Vanilli, Ace of Base, Kris Kross!!!)

We also just received Sex Scratchers! There are 100 chances to try your luck.....although I don't think their are any losers in this game ;-) Get your game on with Role Play Roulette, Baby's got Blackjack, Pirate's Booty, or Dirty Dice!!!

Oooohhh Such Cute New Stuff!!!

When my kids were growing up, I was a stickler for good manners. Learning them is a vital part of a child's education, something they will use their entire lives. We were thrilled to find the Good Manners Flashcards. These along with the Good Citizenship Flashcards are fun ways to help kids learn important skills. This shipment also included a bunch of cute stationary/note card sets made for kids. We forsee these cards inspiring kids to write to Grandma or Grandpa a little more often, and maybe even getting their after holiday/birthday thank you notes done without a fight!

Fifi the Poodle arrived in the store today! As she is pushed along she plays the song Alouette (being the true French Poodle she is). We have a matching jack in the box - or I guess I should call it Fifi in the Box - soooo cute!!

Sad news on the computer, the hard drive has gone insane and has to be committed. Kimber gave me the bad news this morning and it looks like nothing can be done to save it. Well, I always say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. This has forced us to build some redundency into the new system, so I guess something positive will come out of this, at least that's what I keep telling myself!

Feels Like Fall

Even though the official start of autumn isn't for another week, today feels like fall to me. A rainy Sunday is the perfect day to sit at home, pop in a DVD and sort through those all those pictures you've been shooting throughout the year. A great picture in a beautiful frame is such a thoughtful gift. We have just received a small shipment of some amazing picture frames. Each is handmade and a work of art, and will be a welcome addition to any one's coffee table.

Everybody needs a pill case, whether it's to keep at home on your bathroom sink or pop into your purse, these cases fit the bill! "Karma Girl", "Head Trip" and "Chill Pills" are a few of the styles sure to put a smile on your face.

To end, if we can all send positive karma and vibes to Kimber, our computer magician so that I get my computer back tomorrow, I'll be a happy girl!

Team Spirit

Rather quiet in Curtsyland for a Saturday....most people avoid our neck of the woods on UW game days. And we don't blame them! Traffic and parking can be a nightmare. We always try to ensure our parking spots are left open for our customers, so it is usually safe to venture over once the game has started. Anyways.....the Curtsy Grandma was quite happy by the end of the game as she is an Ohio State alumni. No worries for you Husky fans though! The Curtsy Girls have just the thing to cheer you up......UW Binky Baby pacifier clips!!! For all of you yummy mummys who love our bling pacifier clips, we are anxiously awaiting the new collegiate versions including UW and Washington State. Now your little one can look as fab, sparkly, and spirited as you on game day!! We will let you know as soon as they arrive.

The downtime in Curtsyland allowed time to catch up on all of the NY Fashion Week happenings, and anxiously await the first reports from London! The Marc by Marc show had the most fabulous Lego belt buckles that I can't stop thinking about. Other favorites thus far for S/S '08 that have filled up my lookbook on Style.com include Ralph Lauren's 40th anniversary collection, Anna Sui, Proenza Schouler, Monique Lhuillier, and of course Betsey Johnson (whose invitation featured her own 1958 prom picture!) Speaking of Betsey....we have ONE BJ dress left! It is killing me that it is not my size - I would definitely snag it. Who will be the lucky girl who gets our last Betsey dress at an amazing price?!!!

There's Magic in the Air

The Curtsy Girls LOVE holidays and Halloween is one of our favorites! Danielle has been a busy little witch (a good, glittery witch) enchanting the store with holiday spirit. Our Skull Punch Bowl has got to be the coolest way to serve Witches Brew that we've ever seen!

I think in working her magic, Danielle conjured up a few malicious goblins who invaded one of our computers. A non-working computer and a day spent on the phone trying to get a repair wizard to call me back, made Curtsy Mama a grumpy witch! A little chocolate therapy and I'm good as new!

We did get a piece of good news today. The group we told you about last week, The Pipettes are going to be playing at the Crocodile Cafe on November 1st at 9:30. The tickets are only $10 and are available on Ticketmaster.

Big changes in Curtsyland today!! We rearranged a bunch of furniture today. I have been stressed about making these changes for weeks now......trying to plan out every move I needed to do so everything would go smoothly and Curtsyland would not be a disaster zone for too long. I hate having lots of displays ripped apart! But everything went wonderfully and we got all of the big moves done today! I definitely thought it was going to take two days.....such a load off! Maybe tonight I will dream about something other than displays (probably not though!)

I also started putting out Halloween goodies! We are still anxiously awaiting two big Halloween orders though....so I will update you as it all arrives. We placed two orders with one company - one to arrive ASAP with Halloween and Christmas items, and one to be shipped later with Valentine's Day items. Guess which one arrived today?? Yup......the freakin' Valentine's Day one. There was some very grumpy Curtsy Girls after UPS today.

I became even more excited for Halloween today (if possible :-)) because I got word my BFF is coming to visit! I grew up with Veronica (we went to preschool together!) and lived with her in Florida and New York, before moving to Seattle to open the store. She helped move me out here, but hasn't been able to get back since so she has never seen the store! I still have to figure out my costume.....and what to give out to trick-or-treaters that stop by the store. I think it needs to be something sweeter than candy.......

Look out! Sexy Ahead!

One of the favorite parts of our job is when our lingerie reps come to town and we get to see all the new, hot pieces in the collections. We've just come from placing our orders and WE'RE SO EXCITED!!! We ordered the best little "nothings" for fall and the holidays. Our customers have learned that when they want something a little sexy, or a little something naughty, the Curtsy Girls have all the right goods! We find the pieces that help you look and feel like the goddess you are!

In order to make room for everything we ordered, we've been at it with the red pen again, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and snatch up some of the great sale pieces before they're all gone.

Sorry to make this short tonight, but Snickers, the Curtsy Dog is giving me that pitiful "you never walk me, or give me treats and I get no love"look...

The Bangles are Here!!!!!!!!!

A few weeks ago I told you about a bracelet order we were waiting to receive. They have arrived and look ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!! The bangles come in black and ivory, the ivory ones made to look like scrimshaw reproductions. Each has a witty, fun saying on it. My favorites include "Do you have any idea who I am?"....."Oh...What a World! What a World!"......."Are you a good witch or a bad witch?"......and "Truly fabulous people never get dressed before lunchtime." Hurry in....I know these will fly! (and the sooner I need to place a reorder, the better as my Mom and I forgot to order any for ourselves ;-))

We also received some new blinged-out goodies for the blushing bride and bridal party! We are all stocked up now on the bride tanks and thongs, and we got samples of the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid tanks. We are able to get custom-blinged tanks, undies, terry jogger suits, etc.....anything you dream up!!! They have oodles of items to ensure the entire wedding party will look fabulous at all the events before and after the ceremony. Just be sure to allow us enough time before the wedding to custom order everything!

There's No Place Like Home!

Back from my whirlwind tour of airports and Florida. Did you know that there's a very cool exhibit being installed at the Seattle Airport? It's photos and stories of current immigrants to this country, where they came from and how they got here - really interesting! The Atlanta airport has an amazing display of African sculpture. It's down in the train tunnel I think between terminals A & B, if you have time between flights, it's definately worth the walk. The Palm Beach airport actually has an indoor putting green (only in Florida!). Now that I've told you more than you probably ever want to know about airports...

We had a new UPS delivery person today, a nice young lady and she was thrilled that she got to deliver us several giant boxes of iron display pieces. There are some great easels, several funky black iron dress forms and these cute mini dress forms that are about two and a half feet high and PINK. ADORABLE!!!! Even though Danielle will be using them all for various displays around the store, all of the pieces will be for sale.

Under the Big Top

Last night, the Captain and I attended the circus!! It was the Captains' first time, so we splurged and bought the Circus Celebrity tickets. This VIP status of ours included a ride on the Circus Celebrity Train during the Bello-bration number right before intermission. We even got to wear faux Bello hair during our circus debut......it is so unfortunate we forgot to bring our camera. I do believe that the Captain and I (and the other Circus Celebrities which consisted mainly of the 10-and-under crowd) stole the show.

My circus fantasies continued through the night and into today as I started getting Halloween goodies ready to be put out. I was filling a black spooky tree with the cutest Dept. 56 Glitterville Under the Big Top ornaments. This got me to thinking that the circus we saw was sans the fabulous classic circus "freaks" these cute ornaments were inspired from. The ornament collection includes Strong Man Stan, Big Tooth Ruth, and The Ring Leader among others. I will let you know as soon as Curtsyland becomes a Halloween wonderland!

Also, as lions and tigers and bears are still occupying my thoughts......I thought I would mention that we just put our Salvor animal pillows on sale!!!! If you love wild animals and can't imagine why you are not snuggling with one every night, be sure to hurry in and claim one. They are too cute and are at a great price!!!

The Best Laid Plans...

"You are absolutely NOT to come down here for my birthday" she said. "It's only a day, and I will be fine on my own." "You were just here and your brother needs a vacation - I FORBID you both to come!" That's what my brother and I have been hearing for the last month. My brother lives a few doors down from our mom in Florida, but has been out of town for over a month. I visited for 10 days at the end of July. At last we told her, "fine, if that's what you want, we'll stay away, we'll respect your wishes" (yeah, right). I spent the last week lying to her, my dear mother, trying to cover working a little extra to get caught up before leaving and then telling her some whoppers to cover for why I couldn't talk to her yesterday while I was jetting my way across the country.

We just got in the most adorable Glitterville Birthday Hats and as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to save one for my mom. This glittery piece of fun is not exacely packable, so I had no choice but to carry it across the country on my lap. If you want to know how to begin conversations with just about anyone, carry one of these gems through an airport and onto a plane. Everyone wanted to know the story behind the hat! I'm thinking of marketing them as a new dating tool - great icebreaker!

My brother had arranged for my mom's best pals to take her to dinner, really throw her off the scent!! We even had them seat her with her back to the door, so we could really flabbergast her! We march in, me looking quite festive with her party hat on my head, show up at her table and say "surprise"!!! She looks at us and said "I knew you wouldn't listen to me and I've already made up the bed in the guestroom for MJ (Curtsy Mama)". So much for surprises!

She probably would have been just fine on her own, but we wouldn't have been. Our family's not very big, but we always try to be there for each other, that's what families do.

As to her birthday gift, my brother Tom, my son Josh, Danielle and I made her a jar with 80 little scrolls of paper, each tied with a bit of ribbon. Danielle decorated the jar, so it looks amazing. On each of the scrolls are a memory, thought or reason why we love this very special mother and grandmother. We also bought her a magnetic board and 80 tiny magnets. I will mount the board in her bedroom before I go home and for the next 80 days, she can open a scroll, read why we love her and then clip it to her board as a reminder.

Concealed Weapons

A big shipment of Cyberoptix ties arrived today!!! One of the latest collections is named Concealed Weapons. Each tie is double printed. The front graphic is a subtle clue to a more "loaded" graphic printed on the back of the tie. The hidden graphic can be kept as your little secret, or revealed during show-and-tell. There are three in the series so far:
*Walking Timebomb.....pocket watch on the front, dynamite and battery on the inside
*Let Them Eat Cake!.....Marie Antoinette's coat of arms & signature on the front, guillotine on the inside
*40 Whacks.......Lizzie Borden's cameo on the front, "Perfect Axe" with Lizzie Borden's initials on the inside
We also received about 10 other new styles that are all amazing.....hurry in if you have a boy in need of some style as they go fast!

Curtsy Mama is off in sunny Florida to surprise the Curtsy Grandma on her 80th Birthday!!! Tune in tomorrow for the official surprise report......I believe one of our fab birthday hats was carefully carried through numerous airports today to be worn during the ambush. I imagine that bright, glittery, fuzzy hat elicited some interesting conversations on its journey.........

Stranded.....

Last night the Captain and I attended a fabulous BBQ party with Change Versus Comfort and friends. On our way home as we approached our exit off I-5, the Captain's car battery decided to die (he drives an amazing '68 Falcon). During our hour long wait for a tow truck in the middle of the night, I was kicking myself for not stocking all of our vehicles with the Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit!! In addition to all of the very important supplies needed in roadside emergencies, it is also stocked with supplies for urgencies. Urgency Supplies include chocolate, breath freshener, lip moisturizer, anti-perspirant, nail file, tampons, sewing kit, spot remover wipes, lens cleaning tissues, and headache remedy. (I am guessing it will take a lot of convincing to get the Captain to let me store a little pink briefcase in his muscle car......I will let you know how that goes)

Guess what??! By tomorrow, our main card wall will have two more rows of fabulous cards!!! My wonderful Curtsy Boy is hard at work right now hanging the racks......I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Tonight I will have the sweetest dreams of six rows of cards instead of just four ;-)

Laughter, the Best Medicine

I love days like today! I woke up early, got in an awesome workout (gym in my apartment was deserted at 5:30 this morning - go figure!), let Snickers take me on a long walk downtown and then came to work. I then spent time wrapping gifts for the Curtsy Grandma - she's turning 80 this week! I'd tell you what I got her, but she might read this , so you'll have to wait as I don't want to spoil the surprise.

One of the best sounds we hear in this store is laughter. It's usually coming from the direction of the card racks. We love cards and we really love cards that are a little edgy, a little naughty.
We have some of the best cards in Seattle, many that help you say what you really mean. Next time you're in a funk, stop by and browse through the sentiments, we promise you'll leave with a smile on your face!

Just a Quickie Tonight

OK - get your mind out of the gutter - not that kind of quickie! I was intending to write the blog during my last hour at the store today as we were pretty slow, but then we had a delightful young lady from Scottsdale, Arizona who made her maiden voyage through Curtsyland. As many of you know, it can be overwhelming the first time you come in, so many pretty things! Anyway, time got away from me. I also had one of our regular customers run in the door at 5:15, thrilled we were still open! She needed a birthday gift in a hurry. If you are ever rushing to get to the store before we close and know what you want, call ahead, we'll have it wrapped and ready for you. Not sure you're going to make it before we turn out the lights? Call us, we're normally happy to stay a little late for our fabulous customers.

Remember that we'll be open tomorrow from 10am - 4pm, so if the weather's bad and you're bored, head on down to CB to shop, visit or pet the Curtsy dog!

Tarina Sale!!

Because we love you and want you to be happy and look fabulous this Labor Day weekend, we've decided to put some of the Tarina Tarantino jewlery on sale. It's pretty rare for us to mark any of her collection on sale, but we brought in a bunch of new designs for fall and have more on the way.
For fans of the La Vie Parisienne jewlery line, we are now carrying some of the designs in silver. Fleur de lis necklaces, lockets, and Paris charm necklaces - ooh la la cheri!

In case you were wondering, we will be open regular Sunday hours tomorrow 11am - 5pm and from 10pm - 4pm on Labor Day.
XOXO
