Time to Decorate

Hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone. It seemed to fly by at light speed this year. It's always a nice break for us in the midst of the holiday madness. Danielle and the captain traveled to Olympia to be with his family this year and I went to son Josh's house. We always open up dinner at his house to anyone who would like to attend, and it's always such a wonderful mixture of people and delicious food. I was up bright & early this morning to get out of downtown before the parade began, so it's been a bit of a long day - I've been here since 6:30am. I had a few bags to finish monogramming and the quite before the riot was appreciated.

If you've been in Curtsyland lately, you've seen Danielle's magic at turning it into a beautiful winter wonderland. Shimmering silver glitter snowflakes hang from the ceiling and the trees are decked out in beautiful ornaments. I really love the new Pink Carriage & Eiffel Tower ornaments.

These gold sparkly deer would look great paired with some evergreens & candles on a coffee table.

The tiny footed bowls from Rosanna are the perfect place for tiny treasures. Mini pine cones, little mints....you get the idea.

Beautiful red and gold pine cone ornaments handcrafted in the Czech Republic add an elegant touch to any tree.

Want a different tree skirt? Try some of our custom made puffs. We have a wide array of colors to match any most any decor.

Let the Craziness Begin!!

It's official....the holiday season is upon us. November started out very quietly in the Curtsy corner of the world, but the shopping madness has now begun. Smart shoppers who are looking for something unique and personal will head to Curtsyland this weekend for the Emilie Sloan Trunk Show. This Seattle based designer produces a truly unique line of totes that look absolutely spectacular when monogrammed. We've got all of the different styles and all of the colors in the store this weekend available for special order either monogrammed or plain.

The new Peace Bomb Vase makes a wonderful gift for just about anyone on your list, guy or gal. We loved the quote from the vase's creators: "War is destructive and cruel; it will mercilessly take away life and happiness. We don't hear the deafening explosion when this "Peaceful Bomb" falls on the ground, nor the devastation after the explosion. We see flowers and plants which are full of life. They sway in the wind of freedom and emit unlimited vitality. We hope we pass this anti-war and peacekeeping message to you through "A Peaceful Bomb" vase in order to fill the world with peace. As our part to World Peace, partial proceeds are donated to "Act Now to Stop War & End Racism" (A.N.S.W.E.R.)."

This is the time of year for parties. I don't know about you, but my Mother & Grandmother always taught me to never, ever show up empty handed. The High Heel Cake Server is the perfect Hostess Gift. The heel is attached by a super strong magnet and comes off making it easy as pie to serve pie (or cake).

Guys....they are always, without exception, the hardest people on everyone's list to buy for. The Hemergency Survival Kit has 20 must haves for the guy on the go. Packed in a super compact bag the kit contains : hair comb, dental floss, breath freshener, lip balm, deodorant wipes, nail clipper, mending kit, safety pin, extra buttons, lint remover, static remover, shoe shine wipes, stain remover, wrinkle remover, pain reliever, adhesive bandages, facial tissues, razor, shaving cream & a styptic pencil.

The Curtsy Girls would like to wish everyone a Fabulous Thanksgiving.

XOXO

Winter Wonderland

Danielle has been a busy Curtsy Girl this week, transforming the store into a Winter Wonderland. Oodles of new merchandise has made it's way in the door, and it's all we can do not to take it all home ourselves. Course, since we pretty much live at the store this time of year, it's kinda like we already have. We were so thrilled to find awesome Hello Kitty Ornaments to hang on one of our pink trees. We even found some Hello Kitty Stockings to match. That glamour puss appeals to the girl in all of us - doesn't' she?

This pink and white coach ornament fits in with the Marie Antoinette theme we have going.

So does this cool new necklace.

This Wendy Addison Christmas Princess will add a bit of vintage flair to your holiday decorations.

The new Cable Knit Sweater & Hat Set lends itself perfectly to monogramming. What a wonderful and unique gift for a new human.

" Ice Melts Whiskey Rocks" We are so loving this new gift for the whiskey lover in your life. Actually, these ingenious little cubes will work with any beverage. Milled in Vermont at the oldest soapstone workshop in the United States, adding 3 of these chilled stones to your next dram, will chill it without dilution - Brilliant!!

Tarina Tarantino Trunk Show Postponed
Due to some production delays at the Sparkle Factory in LA, the Tarina Tarantino Trunk Show scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until Saturday, December 5th. Sorry for any angst this causes, but look on the bright side - it gives you a couple more weeks to save up for some of her newest goodies.

Hello November!!

It's been a week of transition at Curtsyland. The Halloween goodies have all been put on sale for 50% off, although that will only last for another day or two. Danielle has been busy transforming the store into a winter wonderland. We're absolutely loving the way the new Hello Kitty ornaments hangs on the pink tree.

We have so much fabulous new merchandise and it's just been like Christmas morning getting to un-pack it all. We do all of our holiday orders when we're at the New York Gift Show in August, so by the end of October and the beginning of November, we've forgotten what we ordered. One of our new favorites is the Terrorist Tea Pot. We DEMAND hot tea :).

When Danielle wanted to order the book Chuck Norris Vs Mr. T, I was skeptical. I mean, really? When it came in, I spent an hour in hysterics following her around the store reading from the book. Now I get it! Perfect gift for the guy in your life.

Important Sparkle Update!!!!

The Tarina Tarantino Trunk Show scheduled for November 14th, has been moved to Saturday, December 5th. Seems there have been some production delays at the Sparkle Factory in LA. We know it's disappointing to have to wait, but look at it this way, it gives you a couple more weeks to save up for Tarina fabulous-ness. Remember, the girls with the most sparkles wins!

XOXO
